Chico State Departments

Although I was housed at WellCat Safe Place I worked with several different departments on campus as needed. These departments included the STAR Center, WellCat Counseling, WellCat Prevention, as well as the general WellCat Services department. I have highlighted a few of my favorite projects below.

STAR Center

Sandwich Boards

The STAR Center often displays a sandwich board outside of the office to let students know about events and upcoming meetings. I created six different sandwich board designs for the STAR Center and Women of Excellence.

Counselor Door Signs

The STAR Center houses several different counselors for academic advising. To better improve the flow of information in the office I created ten different door signs which allow counselors to specify their current capacity.

The STAR Center has a beautiful student space that is often used for campus events. The STAR Center team asked me to create a notice for their front door to indicate when the office is closed, and if applicable when a student would be able to return. This helps to prevent students from leaving without access to the services they need.

The majority of my work at the STAR Center was intended to update the important materials with the new Chico State logo and brand identity. I updated all color palettes to reflect the correct Chico Red and utilized the approved typefaces Lora and Montserrat.

Summer Orientation

I was approached by the Director of WellCat Services to create a single page spread to be included in the 2022 Summer Orientation planner. The orientation planner is given to every new incoming student and filled with important resources for navigating the campus community. Included in the WellCat Services overview is each departments contact information, location, mission statement giving a brief synopsis of services, and QR code to their page on the Chico State website. I followed the strict Chico State brand identity to ensure the WellCat page matched the rest of the material.

WellCat Counseling

I was asked by the WellCat Counseling Center to create a weeks worth of Instagram content highlighting OCD Awareness Week. For this project I extensively researched the basics of OCD in order to create an easy to understand overview. The week long series had a lot of success on Instagram with many students reaching out through different means to share their appreciation of this informative content.
